Accommodation and Rates
Mountain Sanctuary Park offers various types of accommodation to suit everyone. we offer camping sites, all large, spacious and offering their own braai with grid. campsites are available with or without electricity. we have Cosy camping huts, designed for convenient camping and then we have our beautiful fully equipped self catering options, both chalets and log cabins. all offering their own braai and gird and indoor fireplace.
Each booking is subject to a R100 per vehicle charge and a R150 conservation fee
bookings are essential as we limit the amount of people we allow in, in order to protect the conservancy.
Fully equipped self catering chalets and log cabins
A minimum stay of 2 nights is required over weekends and public holidays, school holidays and we have minimum stay requirement for long weekends.
during these times single occupancy will be charged at a base rate of R1600 per night
Rates per person sharing.....
R800 per adult per night and R450 per child per night
midweek discounted rates.... R550 per adult per night and R250 per child per night
please note children are considered 12 years or younger
anyone over the age of 12 years is charged at normal adult rate. we do not charge for babies under 2 years old.
Our units are as follows:
Log cabins 1, 6, 7, 8: each have 1 room with a queen bed, one room with 2 single beds. fully equipped self catering kitchen, lounge, fireplace, bathroom, bedding and towels supplied. outside braai and grid.
Log cabin 2: 1 room with a queen bed, one room with 2 single beds and up upstairs area with 2 single beds. fully equipped self catering kitchen, lounge, fireplace, bathroom, bedding and towels supplied. outside braai and grid.
Log cabin 3: 1 room with a queen bed, one room with 2 single beds and up upstairs area with 3 single beds. fully equipped self catering kitchen, lounge, fireplace, bathroom, bedding and towels supplied. outside braai and grid.
Log cabin 4: 2 rooms each with a queen bed, and up upstairs area with 2 single beds. fully equipped self catering kitchen, lounge, fireplace, bathroom, bedding and towels supplied. outside braai and grid.
Log cabin 5: 1 room with a queen bed, one room with 2 single beds and up upstairs area with 2 single beds. fully equipped self catering kitchen, lounge, fireplace, bathroom, bedding and towels supplied. outside braai and grid.
Chalet 1: 1 room with a queen bed, one room with 2 single beds, fully equipped self catering kitchen, lounge, fireplace, bathroom, bedding and towels supplied. outside braai and grid.
Chalet 2 and 3: each have 1 room with a queen bed, fully equipped self catering kitchen, lounge, fireplace, bathroom, bedding and towels supplied. outside braai and grid.
Chalet 4: 2 rooms each with a queen bed and a room with 2 single beds. fully equipped self catering kitchen, lounge, fireplace, bathroom, bedding and towels supplied. outside braai and grid.
Cosy Camping huts.
Our delightful Cosy Camping huts were designed for convenient camping, little wooden, open plan units with 2 single beds and bunk bed. these units offer 2 plate stove, basic camp style crockery and cutlery, bar fridge, table, chairs, electrical point, braai and grid.
we only supply bottom sheets to the beds, so all bedding and towels need to be bought along with you

Cosy huts number 5 and 6 have been upgraded to offer a private outside ablution, both offering a shower, sink and toilet.

Camping sites
MSP offers spacious campsites. We have 2 ablution blocks all offering hot water showers. the ablutions are semi private, each room having a shower, sink toilet.
some sites are ideal for tents, and others for caravans, so please do be specific when booking. sites with and without electrical points are available. water points are available all around camp.

during these times single occupancy will be charged at a base rate of R650 per night for a site with power point and R500 base rate per night for site without access to electricity

R325 per adult per night and R200 per child per night for a site with access to electricity.
midweek discounted rates.... R275 per adult per night and R120 per child per night
R250 per adult per night and R150 per child per night for sites with no electricity.

school initiative
This is a project very dear to our hearts. We encourage the learning institutions to bring out the youth to enjoy the mountains, respect nature and learn about the importance of conservation.
let them be in the fresh air, surrounded by trees, plants, rock formations and crystal clear mountain pools.
We encourage all the schools, universities and learning institutes to reach out and allow us to put together packages for you and help create a day, a camp or an adventure that would be suitable for all ages, cultures and abilities for people from all walks of life.
Del and Stacy are available to discuss all details and make this project something we can all be proud of for generations to come.
Guided hikes
for those that would like a little guidance, would like to arrange a group adventure or simply enjoy the company, we offer guided hikes.
3 hour hikes are R260 per adult/teen and R250 per child under 12 years
4.5 hour hikes are R380 per adult/teen and R350 per child under 12 years
we also charge the R100 vehicle entry fee and R150 conservation fee per booking
we have limited slots and limited guides, so these do need to be arranged and booked in advance.
for scouts, schools, universities, clubs etc, we are happy to arrange a group booking for you at a group discounted rate, please feel free to contact Stacy regarding these special arrangements.
Day visits
Day Visitors are welcome, but BOOKINGS ARE ESSENTIAL
we limit very strictly the amount of people we allow in.
gates are activated by a code system and only people with a booking will be allowed entry,
This helps us to monitor numbers, it improves security and it keeps the reserve peaceful, quiet and it allows residence and guests to enjoy the reserve without disruptions.
Daily rates are as follows:
R100 per vehicle
R150 conservation fee
Adults and teens R215
Children under 12 years R150
Please ensure you read the rules and regulations before making a booking.
no glass or alcohol may be bought into the reserve.
gates open from 8am and day visitors must exit the main gate by 5pm.
please turn of your radios before entering and please obey the speed limit on the way to reception
